Last night, the Academy hosted a hugely successful Open Evening. Prospective students and parents had a chance to, amongst many other exciting activities, make lemon shortcake and brownies in Food Technology, play giant Scrabble in English, build structures in Maths and observe (very closely – see above) the effects of fire in Science. Also, our Prinicipal, Ms Whiley, our new Head Boy and Head Girl, two new year 7s and a year 10 student poet, all addressed a packed school hall and explained what is so special about the Brittons experience.
