Last Friday, a group of year 10 students (some pictured above) from the Academy performed their original performance piece, ‘Fires’ to a rapt Queens Theatre audience. The piece made captivating use of music, dance and poetry to convey a powerful anti-war, anti-apathy message. The piece was produced by students in conjunction with their Drama teacher and head of year, Ms Kelly and Speak Up! a national organisation that pairs talented young people with professional artists. For many of the Brittons students, the piece was the culmination of a three year collaboration with the group. A huge congratulations to everyone involved.
