Having previously held both Bronze and Silver status, we are delighted to announce that he Academy has been awarded Gold status by Skills Builder. This award is given to organisations, schools, and colleges that demonstrate the highest level of best practice in embedding the development of employability skills into their curriculum. Students in all years, in all areas of the curriculum, are regularly provided with structured and meaningful opportunities to develop essential skills like teamwork and problem-solving as they learn. We value these skills as they empower our young people to become confident ‘participants, not bystanders’ in the world beyond Brittons.
A huge thank you to all the staff who have worked hard to ensure students have the opportunity to develop such important skills (in particular to Ms Foley who has remained the Skills Builder ‘champion’ throughout our journey to Gold status).
