On Friday night, staff and their friends and family enjoyed a Charity Quiz Night at the Academy. Including money from the amazing raffle the event raised £950 for Breast Cancer Now. The quiz itself was won by the Best Centre Team – although most agreed a moral victory should go to Ms Cossey’s team for the exceptional standard of their singing in the Karaoke round. This week, students will be able to get involved by buying raffle tickets to win a Valentine’s hamper (on sale in form time Weds-Friday) or buying pink accessories made by Ms Wallace’s Craft Club and a generous donation from Theresa’s Crochet. Speaking of generous donations, the Charity Raffle on Friday was supported by prizes given by AK Travel, Hair by Daisy – @hairby.daisyfoley, Oda Osteria due Amici, Nando’s, Roomes, Co-Op, MyPilatesFix, Spice of India, Adomo Spa at Tower Suite Hotel, Sweet Rose Cakery, GOAT Restaurant, Vanilla Rooms, Elizabeth Lyon, Choc Pops, Maa Eyecare, Petal Passion, Infitness Gym, Renee’s School of Dancing and lots of other contributions from staff and their families. All students will also be given a pink ribbon to wear on Friday to remember this week’s charity, Breast Cancer Now and also to remember all those in the school community and beyond whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
