Last week saw secondary and junior pupils from across the ELAT academies coming together with performing arts charity ‘Heart Global’ to learn and grow together through the mediums of song, dance and drama, culminating in a performance to an audience of parents, school leaders, governors and staff on Friday evening.
This was the second year of the collaborative performing arts event that built on last year’s success to be even bigger and better. The diverse range of pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities experienced an amazing uplift in their confidence and self esteem and the whole event was an amazing success.
A huge thank you goes to all the staff who supported the children but particularly to Eddie Aylett, Principal at Bower Park for his vision and support and most of all to Katy Lechmere, Head of Performing Arts at Bower for her leadership of the programme.
Heart Global will be back again next year and we look forward to seeing its positive impact again.
