Today and last Friday, year 8 enjoyed fantastic trips to the Houses of Parliament. Last Friday, They had a tour of Parliament, sat in the House of Lords and listened to a debate (and heard such luminaries as Lord Blunkett speak) and enjoyed a Petition workshop hosted by Baroness Bennett. Baroness Bennett told students about her experience in Parliament and answered student questions about, amongst other things, social media and AI. Baroness Bennett also kindly donated a copy of her book ‘Change Everything’ to the school library. After the tour and workshop students enjoyed a brief (and sunny) walk around Westminster and the surrounding area. Thanks to everyone involved. We look forward to see what happened on today’s trip later on.
