Eminent journalist, Robert Fox, visited the Academy yesterday to tell students about his experiences as Defence Editor of the Evening Standard and as a foreign correspondent for the Daily Telegraph and the BBC. Mr Fox’s fascinating workshop reflected on the development of news during the 20th century and its ever growing importance in the modern world. At the end of the session, in response to student questions, Mr Fox gave students invaluable tips about how they too could embark on a career in journalism. Several budding journalists from our own newspaper, The Brittons Times, were in attendance and they definitely took inspiration from Mr Fox’s talk.
