On behalf of all the students and staff at Brittons Academy, a small delegation laid a wreath at Rainham War Memorial this morning. They took a reflective walk around Rainham Church and Village before our Student Council President and Vice President, Tomiwa and Amy laid the wreath just before 11 o clock. They were then joined by Mr Shercliff, Mr Frankcomb, two student cadets, two year 8s and other Rainham residents in a minute’s silence at the memorial. Back at school, students commemorated Remembrance Day with a reading of ‘In Flanders Field’ by John McCrae. Vice Principal, Ms Hallett is also doing Remembrance Day assemblies all this week. Stevie and Kieron, our two student cadets, also sold Poppies all last week to students and staff. Thanks to all who took part.
