First Give Final at Brittons Academy Results: Students win £1,000 Donation for NIA

Congratulations to 8D, who, after a highly competitive final, won yesterday’s First Give first prize of a £1,000 donation to NIA, a charity that supports victims of domestic abuse. Ms Foley, who, along with First Give, organised the event, said, ‘Congratulations to all of Year 8 for engaging brilliantly with the First Give programme during their RE lessons. This programme raises awareness on the importance of social actions and supporting local charities. They raised awareness on the work of 5 amazing charities as well as surpassing previous years fundraising totals.

Each class was represented by presenters for the final today and each of the presenters should be very proud of how wonderfully they represented their class and their chosen charity. They all deserve massive congratulations for doing so well.

Extra congratulations to Emily, Molly, Penny and Ian who represented 8D and won £1000 for their charity, Nia which is an amazing charity that supports women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Congratulations Year 8!’

Thanks to everyone involved.
