On Friday, the Academy took 6 students to the UCL PEARL Centre in Dagenham to participate in a Youth Voices Conference with Margaret Mullane MP and a host of other inspiring speakers. Students got the chance to listen to five amazing speakers – all from the local area and all had achieved amazing things in the worlds of dance, boxing, theatre and social action. Students were then given the chance to air their views about their local area to their local MP, Margaret Mullane. Ms Mullane then noted and responded to all their concerns and ideas. The students had a fantastic time and felt a real sense of empowerment and inspiration. Thanks to all involved.
